Ruffles and Dramatic Skirts
Loved by all the girls at Minster Bridal, ruffle skirts are big for 2022 and beyond and, the bigger the better! Big dramatic skirts with ruffles have come a long way since the oversized dresses of the 80s and 90s and have been given a makeover by bridal designers with a new modern look. Layers of cascading fabric is used to create volume and drama with lots of movement. Different fabrics have been chosen and designers have experimented with different styles of bodice, some more contrasting than others to create a variety of different looks. Either way a dress with a statement skirt is a guaranteed way to make a stylish impact on your big day!

Disco Chic Bead Work
2022 will see glitter return in a dazzling way! We are talking sparkling sequins, glimmering beads and pearls, plus fluttering 3D floral appliques. These dresses work well for all seasons and are a take on the metallic trend that we saw a lot of a few years ago. Beautiful bead work looks stunning against your metallic gold and silver toned bridesmaid dresses and especially for evening receptions. Bead work with a more silver tone works well on paler skin whilst dresses with a blush toned under skirt or more gold or rose gold detail will work better on darker or olive skin.

The return of the fishtail!
Fishtail gowns have been a popular choice for many years, even decades! But for next year we are seeing them return with an element of drama and sophistication to suit this new era of 2022 brides. Sometimes known as a mermaid or trumpet wedding dress, the fishtail wedding dress is a flattering shape for most brides. They can accentuate and flatter curves yet add the illusion of an hourglass figure to a straighter frame. We love the fishtail wedding dress because it looks great in so many different fabric options. Whether your preference is Mikado satin, delicate lace or layers of tulle you’ll find your dream fishtail gown. Here are some of our favourites!
